Push DR

Learn how Push DR used Google Ads to inform their go to market strategy for video GP consultations.

1. The Challenge

Push DR came to us for early stage testing of their MVP. We helped them establish product-market fit and estimate the CPA for booking an online video appointment with a GP - a completely original service that would later receive NHS support.

Some key questions:

  • How could Push Doctor tap into awareness when people search for symptoms online?
  • What are the common objections to Video GP consultations?
  • What are the most cost effective sales channels?

2. Our Strategy

To address these challenges, we focussed on Google Search data. We began by mapping hundreds of common health conditions and understanding how potential patients search for their symptoms. Here's what we did:

  • Conducted keyword research to identify over 10,000 search queries related to 48 common health conditions
  • Built and managed their Google Ads account to drive low CPA consultation bookings.
  • Ran a highly effective remarketing campaign to drive consideration.

The inital campaign ran with a goal of establishing a budget requirement to scale the service

3. The Results

After initial build, we were able to drive thousands of prospective patients to the Push DR GP bookings page.

Our findings fed directly into the investment prospectus for Push DR, helping them evolve from focusing on signing-up patients directly to partnering with Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and CCGs (Clinical Commissioning Groups) within the NHS. This ultimately allowed the business to expand during the COVID-19 pandemic reaching over 4.5 million patients.

Our early tests with Google Ads helped us understand how to pivot and grow our on-demand telemedicine in the UK - Eren Ogazir, co-founder

PushDr was acquired by Square Health in 2022.
